Jesus could not remain in the tomb forever. The Lord is too big for this narrow space. The world, the universe itself cannot contain my Lord. He is a big God. My Lord went through all those ordeals, pain and sufferings to create a new day for me. He tells me that God does not retain anything against me. He tells me that I can start over. I have messed up my life but He rescued me from sinking. My Lord is a big Lord. He forgets. He wipes off my mistakes. I can enjoy a new beginning now. Easter is my Celebration day: the celebration of a new life, a life in the Risen lord. You and I are the happiest people on the planet because we are risen to life. Death doesn’t have dominion over us. But as we are alive, we communicate life to other people. The joy of Easter is a permanent joy. Despite all the difficult moments we face daily, our lives have to reflect the joy of our liberation from evil doings. We have to struggle so others may discover the joy of the Lord too.
This is our mission in the different communities where we are working. We bring joy to our people by helping them to transform their lives. We provide them with the necessary tools that the Lord has given us so they may be able to do the job. The communities (Terrier Rouge, Trou-du-Nord, Limonade,) where we are active through children and adult education and other projects are looking towards us for guidance and inspiration. This is a new beginning for many people who find a new way of understanding their reality.

The message we carry through our work consists in sharing the Good News that there is always a new day, a day of joy, of love; a day of hope, a day when the Lord will create a new heaven and a new earth for those who are hopeless. This day has started in the North East of Haiti. My prayer is that you feel the joy of Easter in your daily life and that you continue to accompany us in transmitting to the people we serve in Haiti, the joy and hope that the Risen Lord has created in us. May you all have a blessed Easter. This comes with the assurance of my prayers.
