Haitians are expressive and artistic people so learning to create music is a wonderful new way for them to express themselves. This summer we will host our first-ever music camp to introduce our students to various instruments, giving them a chance to experiment with percussion and wind instruments. Currently we have plastic recorders and we are hoping for donations of new and gently used musical instruments to broaden our instruction. If you have an instrument to donate please follow these instructions to ensure that your instrument arrives safely in Terrier Rouge:You will need to package the instrument and send it to Agape Flights, 100 Airport Avenue, Venice, FL 34285. Agape Flights is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that brings goods to missionaries in the Caribbean. Every package they deliver costs Bethlehem Ministry $3.00-$5.00 per pound so, if at all possible, please send the appropriate funds for delivery. You may attach a check to the outside of the box in an envelope marked, "Agape Flights" (be sure to include Pere Bruno/Bethlehem Ministry and the weight of the package in the memo line) or you may go online to make a payment. If you choose to pay online, you may use credit, debit, or check. The website is http://www.agapeflights.com. Select "SECURE ONLINE DONATION" and click on the box "FLIGHT MINISTRY". In the box below "Flight Ministry" please type in Pere Bruno/Bethlehem Ministry and the total weight of the package. Due to a lack of infrastructure in Haiti, sending items there is a little more difficult than delivery to other parts of the world. If you wish to make a financial donation to our music program you may pay online here or send a check to Bethlehem Ministry, 386 Milledge Circle, Athens, GA 30606. Please earmark the funds for the music program in the memo line.
