One woman, one passion, one mission: Betshabee Charles
By Lucanes Louis
There are inspiring journeys... and Betshabee Charles’ is one of them. A nurse with a degree from the Good Samaritan Mission University (Tabarre) and a former student of Saint Barthélémy, she decided not to stop at just one dream. Driven by her passion for hair beauty, she founded Sabée Confection des Perruques (SCP). Since then, she has lovingly and patiently trained young people in Terrier Rouge, Trou-du-Nord, Cap-Haïtien, and soon Limonade. Soon, there will be the 10th edition of her training courses. Yes, already! But Betshabee sees further. In 2026, she will launch Sabée École Professionnelle, a school designed for young people, especially young women, who want to learn a real trade and take charge of their own lives. Among the training courses offered are: Nail salon, Makeup, Crochet, Dreadlocks, Wig making, and Decoration.
She says it from the heart: “Sabée Confection des Perruques (SCP) is not just a school that teaches wig making. It is also a true source of motivation for anyone who has a dream within them and wants to make it come true. Even if that dream doesn’t involve wig making, it can come true in a completely different field.”
Behind every strand, every needle, every smile in the workshop, hides a woman who believes in her country, in her youth, in her dreams. Betshabee is living proof that everything begins with passion... and a lot of love. Follow and support her work: Sabée confections d’perruques on Facebook. (This successful young entrepreneur has over 10,000 followers on Facebook!)
