"Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.”
(1 Thessalonians 5:11)

Have you ever seen a stone wall or building? My fireplace has many stones stacked on top of each other in this beautiful pattern. Each stone is of different sizes and shapes, but they come together as a strong, gorgeous structure. It’s a powerful picture of what we are all a part of through Bethlehem Ministry. Each person can give differently, but together, we can proclaim hope and life in Haiti in concrete ways.
The Apostle Paul reminds us that it is part of our calling as people of faith to encourage one another and build each other up, even as we are doing. As we reflect on this past year and look toward next year for the work of Christ that goes on in Terrier Rouge, we should celebrate all the ways the hungry have been fed, children educated, health care provided, and needs met in Terrier Rouge.
Thank you to everyone who has given to make that happen. We also invite you to be a part of continuing this work. The end of the year is a great time to give of the resources God has blessed us with, that others might be encouraged and built up. It is also a time when we can make a commitment to give regularly for next year so that our organization can continue in the work of reaching out with Christ’s love to our brothers and sisters in Haiti.
These days, we never know what the news headlines will proclaim, and we may even feel as if we don’t know what the next day will bring, but there are many who are unheard, unseen, who cry out in hunger, sickness, despair. However, together, we can encourage one another, building each other up, as indeed we are doing. Let us give thanks for the work of Bethlehem Ministry and the opportunities we have to continue that work and share hope and life in Haiti.
Peace,
Pastor Leigh Jones
